Thank You Kansas City!
What an exciting time for Mazuma and Kansas City!
I look at our growing organization and I must express what an honor it is to lead a team so committed to serving our 53,000 members across the metro area. Next week, we take another step on this path when we break ground on a new, innovative building making us a true metropolitan-wide credit union.
It’s no surprise we’re growing! Our office space and infrastructure needs have exceeded the space and capabilities of our current headquarters for some time. This increasing membership across the metropolitan area has a direct impact on our branches and their capabilities. So, while we knew we needed to find a new headquarters, it was of paramount importance that we combine it with a new branch office to support current and future Member needs.
This new combined headquarters and branch office is now scheduled to open on February 2nd, 2015. Once opened, Mazuma will have a total of ten branches in both Missouri and Kansas, a reflection of our continued commitment to Members living and working in all communities across the metro.
I hope you have had a chance to read about some of the fantastic features of the new headquarters. It is designed to benefit all of our Members. A comprehensive training facility will better equip employees (we call them Team Members). It will also house our expanding call center and an improved IT infrastructure — all designed to help us deliver best-in-class products and services. There is also a community center which will be open to the public, allowing the community to host events in a relaxed and technologically advanced environment.
Our new building project is just the beginning. We expect growth throughout the greater Kansas City community in years to come, including more Members, new products and services, and updates to our current branches. This includes the 9300 Troost location, which will continue serving our South Kansas City Members.
Keeping you informed of the progress of this large project is important to me. As we begin the transition to our new headquarters in the Fall of 2014, I encourage you to visit MazumaHQ.com often for news and updates. There will be plenty to share!
I want to personally thank Kansas City and our loyal Members for their steadfast support. Working together, I look forward to great things to come.
